2:00 Applying Entity Framework
Speaker Mark Johnson from Fujitsu
Overview Entity Framework is Microsoft’s latest technology targeted at simplifying application development by reducing the impedance mismatch between in-code data models and relational data models. It’s a basic Object-Relational mapping technology that we’ll explore by comparing it to a standard 3-tier architecture using ADO DataSets as the Data Access Object. We’ll also look briefly at LINQ, a set of extensions bringing query capability into native .Net languages, as an enabling technology to further abstract the connection between application data and database persistence.
